The
history of the Orzali family startes long long time ago...
....1312
The Orzali (or sometime Orzani or Orsali) "...counts 13 doyens in
Lucca before 1312....." as coming from some biographic
notes drawn by a Collodi nephew for the "Avventure di
Pinocchio" (the Pinocchio adventures) edited by Nerbini - Firenze
1944.
1314
Probably driven out from Lucca by Uguccione della Faggiuola
(Ghibellino), already Podestà in Pisa, invading Lucca in 1314
with the help of Castruccio Castracani, they came in Brancoli (LU).
In 1316 Pisa and Lucca rised against Uguccione resulting his
escape in Verona under Cangrande della Scala protection, but the
Orzali family remain in Brancoli.
Some descendants will come back in Lucca to the end of 1700.
1580
The first
Orzali is officially regisered in the Parish Church in Pieve di
Brancoli is Nicolao.
1620
Born of
Giovanni, Nicolao's first son.

Michele, Nicolao's second son.
